This beautifully preserved gas station was almost a museum piece in Lowell, Arizona (near Bisbee) The name on the side of the service vehicle is painted "The Broken Spoke Saloon". So evocative of a bygone age.
Elizabeth Jose is a British artist living in Taos, New Mexico. Already an accomplished portrait artist, she was inspired by the breathtaking scenery of Taos to begin painting landscapes after moving here in 2005. Jose and her partner have restored a vintage 1966 Airstream trailer together and love taking trips to beautiful places as inspiration for paintings. She still paints from the model several times a week, enjoys painting landscape Plein Aire and working in the studio on whatever is catching her eye.
